Study on the benefits of connecting power plants to automatic secondary regulation of voltages and reactive outputs (ASRU) systems

The study provides a qualified basis for decision-making on the inclusion of power supplies into an ASRU system in relation to the ability of a particular plant to influence the voltage in the nearby system with regard to the usable regulation reserve of reactive output, system reactance and other monitored aspects.

The study also proposes the technical and programme resources necessary for connecting the plant to the ASRU system, the necessary organizational changes, implementation procedure and schedule.

The study outputs can be used as part of a tender for a regulating system supplier and as an annex to the implementation contract.
