Project - Intelligent diagnostic unit for Second-life EV batteries (EV Diagnostics)

1.1.2025 – 30.06.2027
ORGREZ, a. s., is a beneficiary of the 12th public competition of the TREND programme in sub-programme 1, provided by the Technologická agentura České republiky.

Aim of the project: The aim of the project is todevelop a battery diagnostic unit, specifically for BEVs, that can analyse datadirectly from BMS of different battery types and manufacturers, even of unknownorigin and operating history. Through diagnostics and trial testing, defectiveand damaged batteries will be captured and the usable ones will be furthersorted for refurbishment, rebuilding or reuse in BEVs, for stationary storageor separation from the original BMS to build new battery systems. This approachallows the application of circular economy principles to BEV batteries, increasing the efficiency, durability and sustainability of electric vehicles, while providing a necessary source of battery systems for greater integrationof RES into the electricity grid and sustainable use of critical raw materials, especially rare earth metals.

Project results and outputs:
